The traffic incident occurred when a truck abruptly changed lanes to the right on a crowded road, seemingly to avoid waiting. The front of the truck struck the rear of a sedan in that lane, causing the car to spin. The sedan was then pushed a distance, forcing it into the oncoming traffic lane. At that moment, a passenger bus approached and collided with the sedan again. The extent of injuries and property damage remains unknown.

Drivers must prioritize safety when changing lanes. Beyond signaling, drivers should only change direction when it is safe to do so. Sudden lane changes are particularly dangerous for large vehicles like trucks, which have many blind spots and pose a significant risk of accidents, as seen in the video.

According to Decree 168/2024 on penalties for road traffic violations, illegal lane changes that cause a traffic accident are subject to a fine of 20-22 million VND and a deduction of 10 demerit points from the driver's license.
