C.P. Vietnam advances AI initiatives within the enterprise

C.P. Vietnam implements AI across various departments, from laboratories to quality management, and recognizes projects that deliver tangible results.

A company representative stated that the unit is implementing AI applications in departments such as information technology, disease prevention, quality control, accounting, research and development (R&D), laboratories, and office administration. The company views AI as a tool to support process improvement and enhance operational efficiency.

Implementation begins with daily tasks, focusing on automating data processing, shortening report generation time, and optimizing factory processes. These solutions aim to reduce execution time and improve labor productivity.

In parallel with practical implementation, the company invests in training programs to help employees upskill and proactively adopt new initiatives, including AI. As part of this strategy, on 24/2, C.P. Vietnam held an awards ceremony for 20 outstanding individuals and projects in its internal AI application competition, at its headquarters in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park (Dong Nai). The event recognized initiatives demonstrating practical applicability and concrete effectiveness in their work.

The "The AI Maker" competition, organized by C.P. Vietnam, was first held in 2025. After two seasons, the organizing committee received a total of 250 entries. In the first season, employees were encouraged to use AI to create communication content about Net Zero and environmental protection. This phase served as a launchpad, helping teams familiarize themselves with the technology and understand how AI could support sustainable development goals.

Mr. Nguyen Truong Sinh, from the communications department and leader of the team that won first prize in season one with the video "Today Green - Tomorrow Bright", said his team undertook the project to convey sustainable development messages in a clearer and more accessible way. According to him, AI supported the visualization of environmental content, thereby helping to raise internal awareness.

For the second season, the competition focused on initiatives with direct applicability to production and business operations. Projects were evaluated based on criteria of practical effectiveness, the extent of AI tool application, and innovation. In this season, the first prize went to the "Paperless & Real-time" project, led by Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Lan, team leader in the quality management department at C.P. Cu Chi Food Processing Factory. The project uses AI to streamline the data processing workflow from five steps down to one, replacing the previous manual data entry method.

The second prize in season two was awarded to the "Lab AI" project from C.P Hai Duong Feed Mill. This project focuses on standardizing and digitizing laboratory data, enabling continuous and timely monitoring of analytical parameters. This result helps enhance accuracy in product quality control and strengthens the company's market reputation.

Attending the ceremony, Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit, General Director of C.P. Vietnam, stated that AI will remain a key focus in the unit's sustainable development strategy moving forward. AI will not replace employees but will support them in working more effectively. Therefore, it is important for employees to collaborate with AI, maximizing its supportive role in their actual work, thereby enabling them to undertake new tasks and create new value for their jobs. "We will continue to support employees in learning and upskilling to work effectively in the age of AI", Mr. Pawalit Ua-Amornwanit said.

In parallel with competitions designed to encourage practical application projects, C.P. Vietnam is also intensifying AI training for its employees. In 2025, nearly 4,000 employees participated in 12 specialized and skill-based AI training courses to help the team familiarize themselves with new tools and proactively adapt to rapidly changing job requirements. The implementation of AI applications at the company is part of a specific training and application roadmap. Employees are equipped with knowledge and given opportunities for real-world experimentation, making the digital transformation process familiar with daily work. These activities help integrate technology and AI into routine workflows, supporting enhanced individual capabilities and work efficiency.
