Vietnam Export Import Bank (Eximbank) announced the appointment of Pham Thi Huyen Trang as chairwoman, replacing Nguyen Canh Anh. The decision took effect from 18:30 on 4/12.
Previously, Trang served as the executive vice chairwoman of the bank's Board of Directors since mid-year. She holds a Master of Finance and Banking degree and worked at VietinBank for 12 years, holding positions such as deputy director of the Hanoi branch, head of the credit approval department, and deputy director of the credit approval division.
Additionally, Trang was an independent board member of VietinBank Securities Company and has experience working at corporations like Sun Group and Deo Ca.
Concurrently, Eximbank accepted Nguyen Canh Anh's resignation as chairman, submitted on 3/12. Nguyen Canh Anh will continue as a member of the bank's Board of Directors, contributing his experience. The bank acknowledged his contributions, especially in launching key platforms for its transformation process.
The current Eximbank Board of Directors comprises Pham Thi Huyen Trang as chairwoman, three board members: Pham Tuan Anh, Nguyen Canh Anh, Do Ha Phuong, and independent board member Hoang The Hung.
On the same day, Eximbank also dismissed Deputy General Director Tran Anh Thang at his personal request. The bank's current executive board includes Acting General Director Tran Tan Loc, Deputy General Directors Dao Hong Chau, Nguyen Ho Hoang Vu, Nguyen Huong Minh, Pham Quang Dung, Nguyen Van Hoa, and Chief Accountant La Quang Trung.

An Eximbank representative stated that these senior personnel changes demonstrate a commitment to maintaining continuity in banking operations. The Eximbank Board of Directors plays a central role in implementing the Bank Transformation Program, aiming for efficient, transparent, and sustainable operations that create long-term value for shareholders, customers, and partners.
