In late May, VitaDairy began exporting several batches of formula nutrition products to the Central Asian country. A company representative shared that the Afghan market, and Islamic nations in general, have strict quality criteria for imported products, especially nutritional milk products for children. The Oggi brand has many product lines that support weight gain and digestion and are well-received in the Vietnamese market. However, to enter the Islamic market, these products had to meet several quality and food safety requirements, including ISO 22000:2018, ISO 9001:2015, and Halal certifications. They also underwent testing to ensure no bacterial contamination and that nutritional content matched label claims. Product packaging must use the local language, enable product traceability, and include complete recommended information, in accordance with the country's regulations.

Middle Eastern, Central, and South Asian countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Yemen are emerging as potential markets for the global powdered milk industry. With a total population of over 2 billion, accounting for about 25% of the world's population, the birth rate in these regions is 4.4 children per woman, almost double the global average of 2.3 (according to World Bank and United Nations data from 2023). This market promises many opportunities for the maternal and child product sector, especially in the nutritional products for young children category.

With the advantage of owning a farm in Tasmania, Australia, the company recently launched Moozi fresh milk, produced and imported directly from Australia, and Moozi jelly milk in various flavors. These products have received positive feedback from the market.
Exporting the first shipment to Afghanistan is not only a crucial stepping stone for VitaDairy to expand further into Middle Eastern and South Asian markets, where there is ample room for quality milk products at reasonable prices. "It also affirms the prestige, quality, and competitiveness of a 'Made in Vietnam' brand in the international arena, during the era of the nation's rise," the company representative affirmed.
