The university employs ba admission methods: direct admission, admission based on high school graduation exam results, and a combined assessment of graduation exam scores with aptitude test scores.

Compared to last year, the university no longer offers direct admission based solely on academic transcripts. However, candidates who submit their academic transcript results online can receive bonus points in many majors. These points are calculated based on their transcript scores from 6 semesters in subjects relevant to the admission combination. Specifically, the university adds 1,5 points for candidates whose transcript scores are in the top 10%, 1,2 points for candidates in the top 20%, and mot point for the top 30%.
Additionally, candidates who have achieved a thu ba-place provincial award or higher, or those who have studied in a specialized program, will also receive bonus points, not exceeding 1,5.
For candidates holding an IELTS certificate of 6,0 or higher, or an equivalent qualification, and applying to the advanced program in Architecture, the university awards 0,8-1,5 incentive points. This incentive is 0,2 higher compared to last year.

Regarding admission combinations, Hanoi Architectural University this year discontinues admission using the THM combination (Mathematics, Literature, Technology). Instead, the university adds the A01 combination (Mathematics, Physics, English).
Last year, Hanoi Architectural University's benchmark scores ranged from 16,1 to 24,15 on a 30-point scale and 24,85-26,25 on a 40-point scale.
