Singer Dan Truong opened a new coffee shop in TP HCM on 23/5 and 24/5. He and his manager, show promoter Hoang Tuan, invested in the venture out of passion and a desire to create a space for interaction with fans. Dan Truong stated that whether performing or running a business, he is always meticulous in every detail. Over the past year, the singer personally researched recipes, concocted drinks, and organized tasting sessions to gather feedback before finalizing the beverage menu.

On the sidelines of the event, Dan Truong discussed maintaining his image throughout his 30-year career. The singer admitted that beyond moments of triumph on stage, he has experienced periods of loneliness to the point of wanting to rebel. However, Dan Truong believes that if celebrities expose too many emotions on social media, they will struggle to find empathy. Fearing that his relatives would suffer from public backlash, he chooses to keep his sorrows to himself.

Whenever he faces pressure or adversity, instead of resorting to harmful habits, the singer watches movies, cares for pets, and raises fish to relieve stress and foster positive thoughts. He also draws inspiration from big names like Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houston to discipline himself and stay firm on his career path. Acknowledging that he "has too much to preserve", Dan Truong does not allow himself to succumb to temptations to avoid losing his future.

Reflecting on his relentless schedule of performances, the artist regrets that time has passed too quickly, leaving many dreams unfinished. He once wanted to learn Chinese in three months or pursue other personal projects, but the whirlwind of work swept them away. Despite accumulating significant assets after many years of singing, the singer states he cannot yet stop to rest due to the pressure of supporting his family. In 2022, Dan Truong's parents and youngest sister moved to the US to settle. His son, Thien Tu, also lives there with his ex-wife. To both maintain his career and be close to his family, the singer frequently tours and travels between the two countries.

At the age of 50, the singer is beginning to clearly feel his health limitations. Over the past three years, noticing a decline in his immune system, with a flu sometimes lasting up to two weeks, he decided to cut back on minor tasks to live a slower pace and rest more.

Currently, the 70s-born singer has reduced his performance frequency. He says his biggest concern right now is co-parenting his son with his ex-wife and exercising to maintain his health. Every day, he spends two hours at the gym. In his free time, he relaxes by cooking, gardening, and skincare.

In middle age, the artist accepts that finding personal happiness is challenging, so he relies on the phrase 'tuy duyen' (destiny), not overly demanding in relationships. "Before, I feared loneliness, but now I think if I meet the wrong person, it will be even more difficult. Later, if I become ill, I will hire someone to care for me", the singer said.

Dan Truong is famous for many songs such as 'Kiep ve sau' (Cicada's Fate), 'Tinh don phuong' (Unrequited Love), and Vietnamese-lyric Chinese songs. He has consecutively received the Most Favorite Singer award from Lan Song Xanh seven times. In mid-2025, Dan Truong was invited to be a judge alongside actor To Huu Bang on the music show Sing! Asia. In late 2025, he will hold the 'Dau an thanh xuan' (Youthful Imprint) live show in Ha Noi, celebrating 30 years of singing.
