The Lifetimes Tour marks Perry's return to China after 10 years, since her 2015 The Prismatic World Tour. In Hangzhou, she held two concerts at the Olympic Sports Center, with performances starting around 7:30 p.m.
According to Dimsum Daily, many fans gathered outside the stadium from 5 p.m. to distribute lyric sheets and cheering accessories. Some fans carried paper bags and plush toys from the Miniso brand, both props featured in her new music video, Bandaid.
Throughout the show, Perry actively interacted with her audience. The news outlet reported that she stepped off stage, embraced a fan, and attempted to speak Chinese, practicing her nickname in the local language. She also performed new songs alongside older hits such as California Gurls and The One That Got Away. Her next stop was Shanghai, from 24 to 26/11.
