During holidays, when the fruits are ripe, the actor often returns to his hometown with family members to harvest and enjoy the produce. "I plant many fruit trees to 'lure' my nieces and nephews to visit their grandparents," Minh Luan said. He is the only son in his family, with two older sisters, and currently lives alone.

On weekends, Minh Luan dedicates his free time between work commitments to return to his hometown. There, he harvests star apples and jackfruit from his garden in Lap Vo, Dong Thap, located 140 kilometers from his Ho Chi Minh City home. The garden spans approximately 3,000 square meters and is surrounded by canals. Over 50 star apple trees, planted about three years ago, are now laden with fruit.
Previously, his family's garden primarily grew bananas. Around 2020, the actor renovated the space, seeking a relaxing environment away from the bustling city. He hired workers to clear a portion of the banana trees and planted additional guava star apples, jackfruit, durian, sapodilla, and apricot blossoms.
Born into a farming family and regularly exposed to fields, Minh Luan understands how to care for fruit trees. At the start of the rainy season, he returns home to plant, fertilize, and learn pest prevention methods for his trees. When his work schedule in the city is busy, he visits his garden once every few months.
