AF Hanoi offers up to 100% support for in vitro fertilization costs

Hanoi Andrology and Fertility Hospital is accepting applications to cover 100% of in vitro fertilization (IVF) costs for 10 families facing exceptional difficulties, along with 30 other free support packages.

Hanoi Andrology and Fertility Hospital (AF Hanoi) has launched the "Golden Week - Nurturing Happiness 2026" program. This initiative aims to alleviate the financial burden for struggling couples seeking infertility treatment and encourages young people to prioritize reproductive health screenings.

The program offers substantial support for infertile couples. Specifically, the hospital is accepting applications for 100% free in vitro fertilization (IVF) for 10 infertile families facing difficulties. Additionally, 20 packages for genetic embryo testing (up to 10 embryos per patient) and 10 microsurgical testicular sperm extraction – MicroTESE procedures for male infertility cases are available. The application period runs from 28/5 to 28/6.

From 15/6 to 28/6, all clients will receive completely free services, including: examinations, consultations, ultrasounds (ovarian follicle for women, testicular doppler for men), semen analysis, AMH ovarian reserve testing, and hysterosalpingography. The program also includes a 20% reduction in paraclinical test fees (excluding specialized tests), and a voucher worth 5 million dong for clients undergoing IVF. Thousands of gifts will also be distributed to clients during this period.

Doctor Pham Van Huong, Deputy Professional Director of Hanoi Andrology and Fertility Hospital, emphasized the significant financial pressure many infertile families face. He noted that this pressure often causes hesitation, despite a strong desire for children. "In the field of assisted reproduction, each year of waiting can diminish success rates," Doctor Huong stated. Therefore, the hospital's support programs are designed to help patients access early examination and treatment, easing the economic burden on their journey to parenthood.

Beyond treatment support, "Golden Week 2026" aims to raise community awareness about proactive reproductive health care. The program encourages young people to undergo pre-marital health check-ups and develop scientific family planning, fostering a healthier future generation.

"Although assisted reproductive technology in Vietnam has developed to regional standards with high success rates, the biggest barrier for most patients remains financial," Doctor Huong added. "The cost for one in vitro fertilization (IVF) cycle ranges from 70 to 100 million dong, not including additional specialized techniques."

Infertility is a significant concern in Vietnam. According to the Ministry of Health, approximately 7,7% of couples in Vietnam experience infertility, which equates to one million couples. Notably, 50% of these individuals are young people under 30 years old.

The program offers a beacon of hope for many. Mr. Hoang (37, Nam Dinh) was among the first to apply, arriving at the hospital lobby on the opening day of registration. He explained that for low-income manual laborers, the dream of parenthood would remain distant without such crucial support programs.

"For the past four years, my wife and I, both factory workers, have saved every penny, but it's still not enough for IVF," Mr. Hoang shared. "When we heard the hospital was accepting applications for 10 cases of 100% free IVF, we immediately took a bus to submit our documents. For low-income workers, this program is an opportunity and hope for us to dare to dream of having our own child."

"Golden Week 2026" not only supports long-term infertile patients but also aims to enhance community awareness about proactive reproductive health check-ups. The program specifically targets young clients seeking pre-marital reproductive health screenings or preparing for pregnancy. Many young individuals are taking full advantage of these medical benefits.

Ms. Linh (25, Hanoi) had an appointment scheduled during the program's timeframe and received numerous incentives. "Fortunately, the offers run for two weeks, so my follow-up appointment at the end of june still allows me to participate in the program," Ms. Linh shared.

The "Golden Week - Nurturing Happiness 2026" program will conclude with a wrap-up ceremony and a celebration of the 14th anniversary of the Assisted Reproduction Department, held on the morning of 28/6. Numerous support packages will be awarded to attending clients through a lucky draw.
