On the evening of 24/11, the Ha Tinh Area one People's Procuracy approved the decision to prosecute Duan, 46 years old, for violating road traffic regulations under Article 260 of the Criminal Code.

According to the investigation, on the afternoon of 13/10, Duan was driving a truck on National Highway 15B, heading from Thien Cam commune to Dong Tien commune. As he passed through Yen Hoa commune, Duan attempted to overtake several motorbikes traveling in the same direction. Unfortunately, the truck's body collided with an 84-year-old man who was operating a motorbike.
The impact caused the victim to fall onto the road, and he later died from a traumatic brain injury.

Investigators examining the scene determined that the truck driver's actions were the cause of the accident. Despite numerous motorbikes ahead, Duan proceeded with a reckless overtake, failing to ensure safety.
