According to initial investigations, yesterday morning, Ms. Thanh's family members, returning to their home in an alley on Bo Doi An Dien street, found their mother missing and began searching everywhere. Many neighbors joined the search. By noon, her daughter discovered Ms. Thanh's body under a tarp in the backyard, with multiple wounds.
Police launched an investigation, confirming that the victim's gold jewelry, including a bracelet and earrings valued at over 20 million VND, was missing. The examination of the body revealed multiple stab wounds and significant head bleeding.
Through camera footage extraction, police determined that yesterday morning, around 9 am, Ms. Thanh went to the backyard, followed by a man. Investigators summoned the 60-year-old neighbor, who became the primary suspect.

The man confessed that yesterday morning, he went to Ms. Thanh's house, finding her alone, with the intention of robbing her. When he saw her go to the backyard, he followed, struck her head with a stick, and then stabbed her with a knife, rendering her motionless.
After covering the body with a tarp, he returned home and sold the gold. When Ms. Thanh's family began searching for her, he actively pretended to assist in the search to mislead them. Police are clarifying the suspect's statements and have summoned his wife to determine her role in the incident.
