Nguyen Hong Truong, 32, was arrested on 9/6 by Hung Thinh Commune Police in Dong Nai for allegedly breaking into a gold shop and stealing property. The total value of the stolen assets is estimated at over 3 billion VND.

Police received a report from the owner of Kim Ngoc Thach gold shop at 2 AM on 9/6, detailing a break-in and theft. Investigators quickly arrived at the scene and, in coordination with the victim's family, successfully apprehended Truong.

During the search, police recovered numerous items including gold and white metal bracelets, necklaces, bangles, and rings. They also found several tools and objects suspected of being used by Truong to commit the crime.

At the investigative agency, Truong confessed that business losses and mounting debts led him to plan the theft. He admitted to taking advantage of the late night to break into the shop, intending to sell the stolen goods to repay his creditors.

Hung Thinh Commune Police have since transferred the case file to Dong Nai City Police for further investigation and processing according to their jurisdiction.
