On 26/11, Tran Quoc Anh, 21, and Le Hoang Nam, 19, were investigated by the police of Vuon Lai Ward (formerly District 10), in coordination with the Criminal Police Department (PC02) of Ho Chi Minh City Police, for robbery. The two young men admitted to committing the robbery and stated they were planning another crime at a different store.

Earlier, in the early morning of 22/11, police received a report of a robbery at a Family Mart convenience store. Two robbers stormed in, overpowered an employee, and took 3.5 million VND in cash.

Launching an investigation, the police of Vuon Lai Ward, in coordination with local units and PC02, tracked clues. The following afternoon, they located and arrested Quoc Anh, who was hiding in the area. Another team of detectives subsequently raided a boarding house on Quang Trung street in An Hoi Tay Ward (formerly Go Vap District) to apprehend Nam.
