On 9/6, Dong Nai Police charged Vu Van Ha Hieu, 28, and Tran Minh Loc, 34, with infringing industrial property rights, as stipulated in Article 226 of the Criminal Code.
The charges stem from an earlier operation where the Economic Police Department, in coordination with the Market Management Branch, inspected two warehouses. One warehouse, owned by Hieu, was located in Tran Bien ward, while the other, belonging to Loc, was in Long Binh ward.

During these inspections, authorities discovered both warehouses were storing and selling a large volume of counterfeit goods. These products mimicked famous brands protected in Vietnam, including: Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Dior, Hermes, Chanel, Lacoste, Dolce & Gabbana, and Balenciaga. The seized items included various clothing, footwear, and handbags.
Officials temporarily seized over 1,400 products, with a total listed value of nearly 700 million VND. The business owners failed to provide invoices or documents to prove the legal origin of the merchandise.
During the investigation, both individuals admitted to purchasing the goods from online groups. They acknowledged that the products they were selling were counterfeit but stated they engaged in the trade because the items were cheaper than genuine ones, easy to sell, and offered high profits, providing additional income.
