On the morning of 28/11, the Standing Board of the Hanoi Party Committee announced the appointment of Vu Minh Tuan, Deputy Chief of the National Assembly Office, as Deputy Head of the Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department. He has also been tasked with coordinating the development and submission of the proposal for establishing the Hanoi Newspaper, Radio, and Television agency.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Nguyen Van Phong, praised Tuan's extensive management experience, particularly in journalism and elected bodies. The Party Committee leadership anticipates the capital's new Newspaper, Radio, and Television agency will be pivotal in communication efforts, fostering public understanding and promoting the city's development aspirations.

Accepting his new role, Tuan pledged to collaborate with the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department to enhance information quality, disseminate positive values, and address public concerns, ultimately reinforcing social trust. He stressed that unity is key to success and sought the collective's support.
Vu Minh Tuan, 50, has a background in media and public service. He previously served at Voice of Vietnam (VOV) as Director of VOV Traffic, then as Deputy General Director and later General Director of National Assembly Television. He took on the role of Deputy Chief of the National Assembly Office in 9/2020.
Hanoi is currently undertaking a project to streamline its media landscape, aiming to merge its existing agencies into a single Newspaper, Radio, and Television entity. The capital currently operates 8 media outlets, employing a total of 1,284 individuals. Of these, 485 work for newspapers and magazines, while 799 are employed by Hanoi Radio and Television.
