Landslide buries passenger bus in Khanh Hoa, 6 dead

Heavy rains caused a landslide on Khanh Le Pass, burying a passenger bus, killing 6 and injuring many on the night of 16/11.

Around 10:30 PM, a 30-seat passenger bus with Ho Chi Minh City license plates was traveling on Khanh Le Pass from Da Lat (Lam Dong) towards Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa). Upon reaching the area of Nam Khanh Vinh, a large amount of earth and rocks fell onto the oto, severely damaging the vehicle and trapping many people.

At this time, heavy rains caused landslides at both ends of the pass, making access to the scene difficult. Rescue forces were only able to reach the accident site by midnight.

Le Thi Kim Hoa, Chairwoman of Nam Khanh Vinh Commune People's Committee, stated that the incident resulted in 6 fatalities. Three bodies have been recovered from the vehicle, while two deceased victims remain trapped inside. Additionally, 13 injured individuals have been transported to Khanh Hoa Provincial General Hospital for emergency treatment.
