Around 8:30 PM on 6/12/2024, Nguyen Tan Manh, 50, drove a 40-seat passenger bus from Lap Vo to Sa Dec. As the bus reached Vinh Phu hamlet, Lap Vo commune, it suddenly swerved left, colliding with three young men sitting by the roadside.

The forceful collision resulted in the immediate deaths of Huynh Trung Tan, 19, and Nguyen Huynh Kha. Doan Tan Tai, 17, sustained serious injuries.
Authorities reported that driver Manh remained at the scene after the accident, cooperating with the investigation. Rapid tests confirmed he had no alcohol in his system and tested negative for drugs.
Lap Vo commune police and Canh sat Giao thong (CSGT) Dong Thap examined the scene overnight to determine the cause of the incident.
