Around 9 a.m., the Prenn Pass road surface near Datanla waterfall, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, experienced a landslide on the lower slope. A large section of the road slid into the abyss, pulling down the retaining wall and guardrail, creating a deep cavity. The asphalt surface was torn apart, with several meters of the road cracking and subsiding.

Nguyen Mau Ha, Chairman of Xuan Huong Ward People's Committee, Da Lat, stated that the landslide caused no casualties. Authorities immediately closed the pass to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
Ha reported that Da Lat has experienced continuous heavy rain since yesterday, and the soil in the area was already saturated, which led to the landslide. Functional units are surveying to propose remediation plans. They are also organizing traffic guidance for vehicles entering and leaving Da Lat via Mimosa Pass.

Prenn Pass is 7,27 kilometers long, connecting National Highway 20, a vital route from the Southeast region to Da Lat. In 2/2023, the road through the pass received an investment of 552 billion VND, doubling its width to 4 car lanes, with a design speed of 60 km/h.
