On 5/12, the Department of Construction announced that the city had worked with I.V.C Company, the investor of the restaurant and yacht marina project on the south side of the Han river port, to implement the reclamation policy.
Da Nang City People's Committee reported to the Party Civil Affairs Committee of the People's Committee and the Standing Board of the City Party Committee, which then agreed to repurpose the facility. Voters were concerned about the handling of the yacht marina, demanding an assessment of its social impact, city resources, and ensuring balanced interests for all parties, before the Department of Construction organized a workshop and submitted a report.

Since 2018, the City Party Committee requested working with the investor to reclaim the project, exploring two directions: converting the facility for public use or demolishing it to expand the space on the west side of the Han river. During the implementation of urban planning projects along the Bach Dang - Tran Phu axis, the city held a competition for the architectural design of the Square - Museum. The results were approved in early 2025, with the direction to retain the yacht marina and utilize its new function.
Subsequently, the Department of Construction proposed approving the investment policy and assigned the Department of Finance to appraise it. Departments are currently implementing the next steps, while I.V.C Company was requested to cooperate in preserving the current state and maintaining aesthetic appeal.

The yacht marina, located opposite 38 Bach Dang Street (Hai Chau ward, near the Administrative Center, Da Nang Museum, and in front of the Dien Hai Citadel, a special national relic), comprises three floors, with a land area of over 2,100 square meters and a water surface area of nearly 1,900 square meters.
In 2018, the city estimated the reclamation cost at around 100 billion VND, including compensation for the value of the structure, but no compensation for leased land. Failure to agree on a plan left the facility abandoned for many years, turning it into a waste collection point. Recent Han river landscape planning proposals have all suggested preserving and converting the yacht marina into a public facility.
