*Alcaraz - Sinner: 0:00 on Monday, 17/11, Hanoi time.
This final is a fitting clash for the world's two top players, following their convincing performances this past week. The match features two athletes who have dominated tennis this year, collectively securing 13 titles, including four majors and four Masters 1000 tournaments.
Alcaraz lost only one set on his path to the final, showcasing some of his best indoor hard court form of his career. The Spanish player recovered well after a shocking first-round defeat at the Paris Masters two weeks ago. He has proven his worth for the number 1 ATP ranking this year by reaching his 11th final.
"I feel like I can do everything on court; that is the most important feeling when playing", Alcaraz said after defeating Felix Auger-Aliassime in 83 minutes during the semifinal on the evening of 15/11. "Honestly, with Sinner, there are no more secrets; we know each other too well."

Alcaraz is the first Spanish player to reach the ATP Finals championship match in 12 years, since Rafael Nadal in 2013. He has an opportunity to end Spain's title drought at this tournament after nearly three decades, since the legendary Alex Corretja won in 1998.
Alcaraz holds a 4-1 record against Sinner this season in official matches. However, he consistently faces challenges, even coming close to defeat when playing his Italian rival. The 22-year-old nearly lost the Roland Garros final, then fell in the Wimbledon final – surfaces that are typically his strong suit.
Indoor hard court is Alcaraz's less favored surface, while it is Sinner's strongest. This makes the ATP Finals championship match more unpredictable, as both players have seemingly pushed their limits across all surfaces.
"I know the match will be great", Sinner said about his 16th encounter with Alcaraz on the evening of 16/11. "We will certainly use everything we have, throw everything into this match, and see what happens. Playing Alcaraz is always tough, but it helps me raise my level and is good for the fans."
Despite losing the number one ranking this year, Sinner remains arguably the best hard court player of the past three years. He has won 30 consecutive matches in indoor hard court tournaments since losing to Novak Djokovic at the ATP Finals two years ago. This achievement ranks fifth in history, trailing legends like John McEnroe (47), Novak Djokovic (35), Roger Federer (33), and Ivan Lendl (32). Sinner's winning streak in Turin stands at 10 matches, as he aims for an undefeated run to the title.
At 24 years old, Sinner is the youngest player to reach three consecutive ATP Finals since Lleyton Hewitt (23) in 2004. By holding all 40 service games this week, Sinner has matched Novak Djokovic (2018) as the only player to reach the final without being broken (since statistics were established in 1991). The last time Sinner lost a service game was against Ben Shelton in the Paris Masters quarterfinals.
Given these statistics, Alcaraz's approach to Sinner's first serve could be a pivotal factor in the final. In the semifinals, Alcaraz performed well in return games, winning 41% of points from Auger-Aliassime's successful first serves. Alcaraz's strategy for handling Sinner's second serve will also play a role.
Sinner often gains an immediate advantage when he pressures opponents after a serve. According to ATP data, the 24-year-old wins 57% of points under five shots, demonstrating his ability to finish points quickly and effectively. Conversely, he also holds an advantage in longer rallies, from 7-9 shots or more, with a similar winning percentage.

Alcaraz is striving to become the first player since Andy Murray in 2016 to claim nine titles in one year. However, this ambition will face its toughest test against Sinner – a player who has achieved the highest performance on hard courts over the past two years.
"Plan A, Plan B... Sinner probably knows every one of my plans, and I can guess how he will play", Alcaraz added. "The important thing is who executes their plan better. I hope to maintain my current form, because that is just the necessary condition to beat him."
Sinner's impressive performance at the ATP Finals has led him to his 10th final in 12 tournaments this year. This is also his fourth consecutive title match on an indoor hard court. Sinner won all three previous matches at the Paris Masters, Vienna Open, and the Six Kings Slam event, defeating Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Zverev, and Alcaraz, respectively.
His remarkable consistency this year makes Sinner the third player in history to reach the final of all four Grand Slams and the ATP Finals in a single season, joining Federer and Djokovic.
"I am very happy to end the season with another final, here. It has been a great year for me", Sinner said about facing Alcaraz. "These are the matches I look forward to to truly test my abilities. It is great that this matchup is happening before the off-season."
