Based on community votes and expert panel evaluations during the preliminary round from 10/3 to 31/3, the organizing committee selected the finalists. Audition is one of the games nominated in the "timeless game" category. This award, part of Vietnam GameVerse 2026, honors games with lasting market influence.
Entering the final stage, Audition - Nhip Dieu Cuoc Song received a high number of votes, establishing itself as a strong contender. This outcome reflects the community's interest and the game's widespread reach after nearly two decades of release in Vietnam.

Launched in 2006 and published by VTC, Audition became one of the longest-running casual dancing games in the domestic market. The game fosters an ecosystem centered on music, fashion, and community interaction, attracting generations of players from the 8x and 9x generations to younger gamers.
A notable milestone was Audition's inclusion as a competitive event at SEA Games 33 in 2025. The Vietnam team secured two gold medals and two silver medals, contributing to the debut of dancing games at the regional sports event. This achievement also marked Audition's transition from an entertainment game to a competitive esports discipline.
This March, at the Hall of Fame ceremony organized by the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA), Audition was awarded the title of "national brand esports discipline". The title recognizes the game's long-term development and its popularity within the esports community.
From early 2000s internet cafes to professional tournament systems, Audition has maintained a stable player base and continuously updated content. These factors make the game a strong candidate for the "timeless game" title.
The final voting phase will run from 7/4 to 21/4. Results will be determined by 30% community votes and 70% expert panel evaluation. Players can vote for Audition during this period here.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for 8/5 in TP HCM, as part of Vietnam Game Day - Vietnam GameVerse 2026. Beyond the Vietnam Game Awards finals, this event, themed "Do Local - Go Global", will feature activities like an expert dialogue forum, the Wonderland exhibition space, cosplay competitions, and professional esports tournaments. This year, the organizing committee anticipates over 50,000 attendees and an expanded area for business-to-business (B2B) and independent game developers.
The program is jointly organized by the Authority of Broadcasting and Electronic Information, VnExpress newspaper, and the Vietnam Game Alliance.
