Ronaldo held the camera himself for the selfie. The photo includes several prominent figures: Georgina Rodriguez, Elon Musk, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, David Sacks, US Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and his wife, and OpenAI President Greg Brockman.

The image circulated widely across social media platforms, attracting millions of comments. It brought together notable personalities from diverse fields, including football, technology, and politics. Many comments highlighted the rare sight of Ronaldo, Musk, and Lutnick together. In the photo, everyone is smiling except Ronaldo.

Musk commented on the photo with a US flag emoji. Ronaldo and Georgina did not comment on or reshare the photo on their social media.

The group of guests assembled in the White House's East Room for a high-level reception between the US and Saudi Arabia. Approximately 200 guests attended the dinner hosted by US President Donald Trump. Trump, Ronaldo, and Musk were among the most prominent attendees.

This gathering has drawn comparisons to the famous selfie from the 86th Academy Awards in 2014. That photo, taken by actor Bradley Cooper, featured a host of stars: Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kevin Spacey, Lupita Nyong'o, and Ellen DeGeneres.
