Spain has won 25 matches and drawn 5 in their last 30 official games, surpassing the 29-match unbeaten streak achieved under Vicente del Bosque between 2010 and 2013.
According to Spanish newspaper AS, this is the first time Spain has achieved such a feat, making them the 4th national team globally to reach the 30-match mark, following Morocco (38 matches), Senegal (36 matches), and Italy (31 matches).

Spain's last defeat in an official match was a 0-2 loss to Scotland on 28/3/2023, which was the second game under coach Luis de la Fuente. A 0-1 friendly loss to Colombia in 3/2024 is not included in this official unbeaten run.
During this 30-match streak, "La Roja" won Euro 2024 and the 2023 Nations League, and also reached the Nations League final in June. They lost to Portugal in a penalty shootout, which is counted as a draw.
In Group E of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers for the European region, Spain has secured a perfect 15 points, scoring 19 goals without conceding any, and is virtually assured of a spot in the 2026 World Cup. Luis de la Fuente's team leads the group with 15 points and a +19 goal difference, while second-placed Turkey has 12 points and a +5 goal difference.

Yesterday, in the penultimate match, Spain dominated Georgia, securing a resounding 4-0 away victory. Following the game, De la Fuente expressed pride in his team's performance and highlighted their continuous drive for improvement. However, the 64-year-old coach remained cautious, emphasizing the importance of completing their objective in the final match against Turkey at La Cartuja Stadium, Sevilla on 18/11.
"We have just reached an important milestone, which is emotional for the entire team", De la Fuente shared. "But the players' greatest strength is that they do not stop at records. They want more; they want to keep improving towards the World Cup dream. We can still play even better."
De la Fuente also asserted that Spain delivered an excellent performance, rather than simply benefiting from a weak opponent. "Georgia is not a bad team; they have many quality players. But today, they faced a Spain team playing with ambition, determination, and maintaining a very high standard", he stated.
