The Ukrainian Air Force Command announced that Russia launched an attack using 574 Geran-2 suicide and decoy drones, 4 Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, two Iskander-M ballistic missiles, 33 Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles, and one unidentified projectile.
"Ukrainian air defense units shot down or neutralized 546 UAVs, one Kinzhal missile, and 30 Kh-101 and Kalibr missiles. Eleven locations were hit by missiles and UAVs, with debris falling in three other areas", the command stated, without specifying the locations.

Maksym Kozytsky, head of the Lviv regional military administration in western Ukraine, reported one death and two injuries in the attack, with dozens of houses destroyed. The Mukachevo city council, in the western Zakarpattia region, reported 12 injuries after a Russian attack on the city near the border with Hungary and Slovakia.
Igor Polishchuk, mayor of Lutsk in the Volyn region, reported that Russian missiles and UAVs struck multiple locations in the area. "As of now, there are no casualties in the attack," he said.
The Russian Ministry of Defense has not commented on the information. Russian officials also announced that their air defense forces shot down 49 Ukrainian UAVs, mostly in the Rostov region with 21 drones.

The attacks occurred after former US President Donald Trump made diplomatic moves to end the conflict in Ukraine. Trump stated that he was arranging a direct meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Russia and Ukraine frequently attack each other's critical infrastructure, including energy facilities. Both sides have repeatedly accused each other of attacking civilian infrastructure, while claiming to target only military objectives.
