On 15/11, in a Truth Social post, US President Donald Trump accused Republican Representative Marjorie Greene of Georgia of "betraying the party" and called her a "fake, incompetent" politician.
"'Traitor' Marjorie Greene is a disgrace to the great Republican Party", he wrote in a subsequent post.
Representative Greene later stated that private security firms had contacted her to warn about her safety. She added that she is facing numerous threats incited by "the most powerful man in the world".

Marjorie Greene was once a symbol of Trump's "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) movement. However, on 14/11, the US President announced he was withdrawing all support for the representative. This move came after Greene distanced herself from President Trump as he faced criticism over US living costs and the scandal involving pedophile billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
Greene disagreed with the US leader on several issues, despite recently presenting herself as a staunch supporter of Trump. On 10/11, the US President first expressed disappointment with the representative, stating she had "lost her way".
This situation marks a serious rift with the MAGA movement, especially with one year remaining until the midterm elections. Greene's sudden shift fueled speculation that she intends to run for president in 2028, but she has denied this.
One of the most sensitive issues related to Greene's criticism of President Trump is the Epstein scandal. A leading voice in calling for justice for the victims of the pedophile billionaire, Greene this week became one of the few MAGA members to support a vote requiring the public release of documents related to the Epstein investigation.
In her 15/11 post, Greene continued to address this issue. "As a woman, I do not take threats from men lightly. Now I somewhat understand the fear and pressure endured by women who were victims of Epstein and his associates", she wrote.
