Living in a natural wooden house with two stories and a basement, the actor's family enjoys a home surrounded by a stone path interspersed with lawns and various flowers. On his personal page, Xuan Bac regularly shares videos of his gardening activities with his three sons.
Xuan Bac dedicates space to ornamental coconut trees, pines, and Barringtonia. He also enjoys tending to flowers such as ancient roses, orchids, and yellow allamanda. A friend gifted him a white osmanthus tree, known for its delicate fragrance. This year, he put considerable effort into his rose garden, hoping the flowers would bloom precisely for Tet (Lunar New Year). However, due to his limited experience, many blossoms opened two weeks earlier than anticipated.

He cultivates fruit trees including jackfruit, apricot, star fruit, and mango. During harvest season, his jackfruit and mango trees are laden with fruit. His family often uses apricots to soak in water or ferment into wine. For green vegetables, he grows common varieties like mustard greens, cabbage, wild betel leaves, and sweet potato greens. The actor frequently joins his youngest son, Bao, in removing pests and watering the vegetables.

Occasionally, Xuan Bac enlists professional gardeners for tasks requiring specific techniques. However, he and his sons perform the majority of the work themselves. On weekends, he asks his two older sons, Khanh Minh and Vo Nguyen, to weed, till the soil, and plant trees. During the rainy season, he and his children prune weak, dry branches and reinforce stakes for taller trees.
