buitruonglinh is a prominent contestant on "Anh trai say hi" season two. His ballad version of "Dau doi sung" gained tens of thousands of views within hours of its release. During live stage 1, he co-wrote lyrics and led his group's performance of "Hermosa", which reached top 1 on iTunes Vietnam. He is currently a top contender for the champion title, alongside Negav, CongB, B Ray, and Vu Cat Tuong.

He has received praise for his performance and dance skills from Vu Cat Tuong and Ngo Kien Huy, rising to top 3 in the first round and being chosen as team leader for the second round. Ngo Kien Huy noted, "Linh has a distinct musical taste, understands stage presence, possesses a warm voice, and has strong songwriting abilities."

Recently, buitruonglinh garnered attention with his song "Thinh vuong Viet Nam sang ngoi", which has accumulated 8,8 million views on YouTube. This track, blending contemporary music with traditional Vietnamese elements, has been featured in major events, most recently the 80th National Day celebration. The song is nominated in the Inspiring Music category at Vietnam iContent 2025, where he also performed it at the awards ceremony on 29/11.

buitruonglinh, whose full name is Bui Truong Linh, first gained public recognition in 2020 with "Duong toi cho em ve", which has 61 million views on YouTube. He followed this with other popular songs among young audiences, including "Du cho mai ve sau" (27 million views), "Yeu nguoi co uoc mo" (26 million views), and "Tung ngay yeu em" (38 million views).

Born in 1999 in Ha Noi, buitruonglinh showed early musical talent. At age 8, he was admitted to the Vietnam National Academy of Music. Eight years of study provided him with a solid foundation for his career as a singer-songwriter. After his family moved south, he continued his vocal studies at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music.

The artist primarily works in the pop ballad genre, creating narrative songs about youthful love and homeland. His music is characterized by sincere melodies and poetic lyrics. The Gen Z artist finds inspiration from friends' stories, online encounters, films, and books. "The music I write is first and foremost to satisfy my passion and express my emotions," buitruonglinh stated.

He often produces simple arrangements featuring instruments like guitar and violin. This November, he released "Nguoi dau tien", a collaboration with Juky San, featuring piano arrangements, which has already reached 6 million views.

Producer Dau Tat Dat commented that buitruonglinh's music is not trend-driven, possessing a unique sound. They previously collaborated on the album "Mot ngay nhu mai mai". According to musician Pham Viet Hoang, buitruonglinh's ability to play instruments and understand music theory adds depth to his compositions and arrangements. "Memorable melodies and sincere lyrics are buitruonglinh's strengths," he noted.

Three years ago, buitruonglinh faced a critical moment when senior artist Chau Dang Khoa remarked that "your music is very ordinary" at the Big Song Big Deal music competition. Peers also felt that buitruonglinh's "recognition was still vague." He admitted that he initially hesitated to step out of his comfort zone and did not invest heavily in his image.

Despite this, buitruonglinh has consistently demonstrated serious commitment to each project and activity. In 2022, he released the E.P "Vong", which was well-received by audiences. Within one day of its release, the single quickly achieved top 1 on iTunes Vietnam. When "Yeu nguoi co uoc mo" was released, a segment of the song went viral on TikTok, sparking a cover craze.

buitruonglinh is gradually transforming into a comprehensive artist, not only singing and composing but also capable of dancing and music production, eager to experiment with diverse genres and conquer large stages. "I am still working to further define my artistic image and style in the eyes of the audience," he said.
