On 31/3, Do Thi Dieu Hanh, Director of the Department, stated that after singer Juky San posted a photo series of herself in a bikini bathing in Gieng Tien at Eo Gio, Quy Nhon Dong ward, many social media accounts reshared the photos with inaccurate information and comments, showing signs of exaggerating the issue. "We will take action if such false information negatively impacts the image of the province's tourism industry," Dieu Hanh said.

Juky San's photos at Gieng Tien sparked controversy. |
Responding to public outcry, on 30/3, Juky San apologized for not thoroughly researching information about the local natural landscape beforehand. Juky San's team stated they had reviewed and removed her images from digital platforms.
Previously, Juky San posted a series of photos on her personal page, featuring her in a polka-dot swimsuit bathing in Gieng Tien. A segment of the audience considered the location sacred, criticizing her for disrespecting the landscape and local folk culture values.
According to the leader of Quy Nhon Dong ward, Gieng Tien is a tourist attraction within the scenic spot of Eo Gio. This site is not a cultural or historical relic that requires protection under cultural heritage regulations.
For a long time, a small underground spring in the rocky area above Gieng Tien has supplied fresh water. Local residents, recognizing the freshwater source, used pebbles to build a small pond to store it. Currently, this water source is primarily used by locals and tourists for rinsing after swimming in the sea. Gieng Tien is also a popular check-in spot for many visitors exploring Eo Gio. Furthermore, locals named the site Gieng Tien primarily to brand it as a tourist destination and attract visitors, with no spiritual or cultural significance.
Juky San, whose real name is Tran Thi Dung, hails from Hung Yen (formerly Thai Binh). Her stage name is inspired by a Japanese animated character. She gained public attention on The Voice Vietnam 2019 with her clear voice. She previously achieved popularity through projects featuring Vietnamese lyrics for Chinese songs such as Phuong xa, Tieu dao tuyet nhat, and the music video Phai chang em da yeu. In 2025, the singer participated in Em xinh say hi, reaching the finals. Earlier this year, Juky San released her debut album Dam tinh, marking a milestone in her career.
