During the "An tam cho minh, an lanh cho em" program held at the hospital on 11/9, each child patient received support ranging from 30 million to 100 million VND. The organizers also presented 160 gifts to child patients undergoing treatment in the Oncology-Hematology Department.

The financial support was raised through the MoMoCare Health+ product on the MoMo application. For each transaction to purchase the product between 15/7 and 17/10, Chubb Life Vietnam and MoMo contributed 20,000 VND to the Hy Vong Fund.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Truong Thanh Thanh, Chairperson of the Hy Vong Fund Management Council, stated that even small contributions offer great encouragement to medical staff, parents, and child patients during difficult times. She noted that the collaboration of partners not only provides practical financial resources but also demonstrates the widespread sharing of kindness within the community.

Sharing a similar perspective, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Tu, a representative from Chubb Life Vietnam, emphasized that peace of mind comes from financial protection and the assurance of companionship during hardship. For families with young children undergoing medical treatment, timely assistance can alleviate significant pressure.

Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huong, a representative from MoMo, expressed emotion over an innocent comment from a child patient: "I like your hair". She believed that behind this simple remark might lie a small dream of a child fighting illness day and night, and hoped this partnership would continue to expand to help more families in challenging circumstances.

This timely assistance helps alleviate financial burdens for many families on their long treatment journeys. A notable case is Ly Hoang Hung, a 9-year-old from Khanh Hoa, diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in July. He lost 5 kg, dropping from 25 kg to 20 kg, after three rounds of chemotherapy. Medication caused hair loss and mouth sores, forcing him to postpone his dream of attending school.

In his hometown, Hung's 16-year-old brother has suffered from cerebral palsy since childhood and is bedridden. While his mother stays at the hospital for extended periods to care for Hung, his father, a farmer who takes on various jobs to support the family, had to stop working to care for his older son. Upon receiving assistance from the program, Ms. Ai Hanh, Hung's mother, tearfully shared that the support significantly eased her family's difficulties, both materially and emotionally.

Similarly, Tan Dung, a 14-year-old, received support to prepare for an upcoming kidney transplant. Dung was diagnosed with end-stage chronic kidney failure at 12 years old after fainting at school. Currently, he requires regular dialysis, and his mother is the prospective kidney donor. For Dung's family, the enormous treatment costs remain a major concern, and this timely support is invaluable.

The support for child patients is part of the Mat Troi Hy Vong program, implemented by the Hy Vong Fund (co-founded by VnExpress Newspaper and FPT Corporation). Since 2021, the program has supported over 3,300 child patients at more than 20 hospitals nationwide, including nearly 700 children at Children's Hospital 2, with a total funding exceeding 15 billion VND.
