Masked men with hammers rob gold store

Two young men, masked and wearing jackets, stormed a gold store in Tan Dong Hiep ward, using hammers to smash display cases and steal jewelry before escaping with two accomplices.

On the afternoon of 26/5, 4 young men arrived at the Kim Thanh An Phu 2 gold store on two motorbikes, according to security camera footage. Two individuals dismounted, carrying hammers, entered the store, smashed glass display cases, and took gold.

Store employees shouted warnings and threw objects at the two suspects to deter them. The two robbers quickly ran outside, got onto the waiting motorbikes with their accomplices, and fled the scene.

The entire incident unfolded in approximately 30 seconds. The gold store has not yet disclosed the value of the stolen assets.

The Criminal Police Department and other professional units of the Ho Chi Minh City Police are currently reviewing camera footage and pursuing the robbery group.
