Worker steals Rolex watch valued at over 660 million VND

Trinh Duy Manh exploited a homeowner's oversight while installing household equipment, stealing a Rolex watch valued at over 660 million VND and selling it for 150 million VND.

On 29/5, Manh, 31 years old, was criminally detained by Truong Vinh Ward Police for investigation into property theft, under Article 173 of the Criminal Code.

Investigations revealed that on the morning of 29/5, Manh went to the 41-year-old homeowner's residence in Trung Hop residential area, Truong Vinh ward, to install household equipment. While working, he noticed a Rolex watch on a table and decided to steal it. Authorities allege Manh took advantage of the homeowner's inattention, stole the watch, and concealed it. After finishing his work, he sold the watch at a shop on Le Hong Phong street in Thanh Vinh ward for 150 million VND. Investigators confirmed the Rolex watch's value exceeded 660 million VND.

Following the victim's report, Truong Vinh Ward Police tracked Manh's movements and recovered the stolen property within nearly three hours of investigation.
