A Home Credit representative stated the workshop series aims to equip students with fundamental personal finance knowledge and skills. In addition to in-depth content on budgeting, balancing expenses, and suitable investment channels for students, the event included interactive activities such as giving away financial books, guiding free e-book downloads, and offering gifts from the sponsor, Home Credit Vietnam.
The University Tour 2025 is part of Home Credit Vietnam's long-term commitment to improving financial literacy in the community, especially among young people. Earlier, in Quarter I/2025, the company organized financial management training sessions for women in Thanh Hoa, Dien Bien, and Hanoi, in collaboration with the Capital Women's Newspaper and the Vietnam Women's Union.
The program builds on the content of the "Financial Handbook for Women" with practical and easy-to-understand examples, providing participants with tools to control their finances and improve their quality of life.
On digital platforms, Home Credit also continuously updates content on using financial tools, preventing fraud, and smart financial consumption knowledge through social media like Facebook, TikTok, and the Home App.
In 2024, the company's financial literacy activities reached over 11,000 students, with online content attracting over 12 million views. Home Credit also organized social campaigns such as collecting 1.6 tons of used clothes from employees for recycling, supporting over 2,700 children through the Home Love initiative, and renovating three schools.
According to the plan, the University Tour 2025 workshop series will continue at the Ho Chi Minh City Banking University in September, before expanding to universities in Da Nang such as the University of Economics and the University of Science and Technology. Each destination will not only be an opportunity for students to access practical knowledge but also a chance for them to learn how to invest in themselves from the basics: understanding the value of money and managing it responsibly.
