Healthy snacks support changing snacking habits

Healthy snacks made from vegetables, nuts, and seeds, supplemented with micronutrients, help consumers gradually replace fatty snacks, taking care of their own health and that of their families.

Traditional snacks can be high in fat, additives, and other unhealthy ingredients, raising concerns about obesity and diabetes. Meanwhile, healthy snacks made from nuts, dried vegetables, and low-sugar crackers offer beneficial nutrients like fiber, vitamins, and protein. These options are better for overall health and particularly suitable for those on diets, children, and the elderly.

According to a 2024 NielsenIQ report, 73% of consumers in the Asia-Pacific region (including Vietnam) prefer healthy, low-calorie ingredients when choosing snacks. Around 33% of consumers have started viewing snacks as "mini-meals," prioritizing portion-controlled, nutrient-rich products.

A Viracresearch publication, using data from a Coc Coc survey of Vietnamese consumers, also showed that over 50% of respondents aged 20 and above are increasingly prioritizing nutrition and health when choosing confectionery and snacks. Younger consumers are becoming more health-conscious and gradually shifting towards healthier snacking choices.

To meet the demand for healthy and convenient snacks, the Tipo brand has launched Tipo Cracker Vegetable Floss, made with eight types of vegetables (potatoes, onions, shallots, garlic, scallions, tomatoes, parsley, and spinach) combined with chicken floss. This combination provides fiber and protein. The low-sugar recipe, along with low trans fat and cholesterol content, makes it suitable for health-conscious individuals.

Nguyen Ngoc Anh (Hanoi, 32 years old) shared, "My whole family loves Tipo Crackers. My child is addicted to the crispy, flavorful crackers, and I feel at ease knowing the ingredients." Le Thuy Linh (an office worker in Ho Chi Minh City) said, "I initially bought them as a snack at work, and now everyone in the office is hooked. They're a fun treat, and the calorie and nutritional information fits our needs. Now, everyone buys them for their families too."

For many, snacking is both a pleasure and a source of energy for a long day. When choosing snacks, young people today want to enjoy delicious treats while maintaining a balanced diet. According to the manufacturer, Tipo Cracker Vegetable Floss emerged from the "mindful snacking" trend, where consumers care about ingredient sourcing and environmental impact.

The product comes in two convenient sizes: a large 265-gram box and a small 132-gram box, catering to various consumer needs such as gifting, snacking, picnics, and adding to salads. The packaging, made of easily recyclable cardboard and minimalist single-color printed paper, reflects the manufacturer's commitment to environmental protection and a sustainable lifestyle.

Tipo Cracker Vegetable Floss is available at supermarkets and convenience stores nationwide, as well as on Huu Nghi's official stores on e-commerce platforms like Shopee, Tiki, and Lazada, with prices starting at 19,000 VND.

Huu Nghi Food Joint Stock Company (Huu Nghi Food), the owner of Tipo, was established in 2006 and is now one of the largest and most reputable confectionery companies in Vietnam. Huu Nghi has a network of over 140,000 retail points, 6,000 supermarkets, and hundreds of strategic partners. Over 1.5 million consumers choose Huu Nghi Food products daily.
