Saigontourist Group golf tournament raises funds for scholarships

Saigontourist Group is hosting its 2025 community golf tournament to fund 500 scholarships for students facing financial hardship.

First held in 2006, the Saigontourist Group community golf tournament has raised over 12 billion VND for charitable causes as of 2024. Over 8 billion VND of this has supported disadvantaged students in Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Dong Thap, Vinh Long, and Tay Ninh.

This year's tournament will tee off at 11:30 am on 2/8 at the Thu Duc Golf Club (VGCC). The 18-hole tournament will feature four main flights: Callaway, Ladies, Men B, and Men A. There will also be two skill prizes: "nearest to the pin" and "longest drive".

Players will be grouped based on their handicaps. A handicap measures a player's potential and is used to compare skill levels and competitiveness. Better players have lower handicaps.

Registration opened on 9/7, with varying fees. VGCC members pay 2.2 million VND, while members with premium cards pay 2.8 million VND. Non-members pay the highest fee of 3.7 million VND. The fee includes caddy and buggy services, green fees, and a ticket to the awards banquet held that evening at VGCC.
