The Au Lac AI Alliance launched on 20/6 in Hanoi. Its members include the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, MobiFone, VNPT, FPT, CMC, BKAV, MoMo, VNPAY, Zalo, AI For Vietnam, AI Hay, and Finhay. It also includes universities and academies such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology, Academy of Cryptography Techniques, and FPT University.
The Vietnamese government recently issued Decision 1131, identifying AI as the foremost among 11 strategic national technologies. In this context, forming public-private partnerships to promote the development of domestic AI is a necessary step. The Au Lac AI Alliance was established to develop large language models (LLMs) capable of processing Vietnamese accurately and naturally, aligning with Vietnamese culture and identity. This initiative aims to improve public knowledge and boost national economic development.

By joining the alliance, MoMo hopes to contribute to this goal by addressing the practical financial and consumer needs of tens of millions of Vietnamese people using artificial intelligence. MoMo currently applies AI and natural language processing technology to many core products. Over 30 million users are served daily through features such as personalized experiences, expense management, customer care, and credit services.
Besides developing a Vietnamese AI ecosystem, MoMo actively participates in public-private partnership forums, working with the government on national policy planning. Nguyen Manh Tuong, Co-founder, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and CEO of MoMo Financial Technology Group, was recently appointed as one of 18 members of the National Advisory Council for Science, Technology, Innovation Development, and Digital Transformation.

Previously, Thai Tri Hung, MoMo's Chief Technology Officer, was elected to the Executive Committee of the National Data Association for the 2025-2030 term. Concurrently, Nguyen Ba Diep, Co-founder of MoMo, also serves as Vice President of VNISA South (VNISA - Vietnam Information Security Association).
Company leaders believe these events demonstrate the role of domestic fintech companies like MoMo in shaping national policy. They also highlight the government's openness to receiving initiatives and practical experience from the private sector.
