The program is designed for children aged 6-12. According to a team representative, the number of applications this year highlights the community's interest in youth motorsports racing and reflects parents' trust in the unit's training model. The training program for children is goal-oriented and prioritizes safety. "The program is a continuation of a long-term investment strategy aimed at identifying and nurturing racing talent from a foundational stage, rather than pursuing short-term achievements," the team representative stated.

From the list of nearly 200 eligible applications, the team will conduct direct selections over two days, 31/1 and 1/2, at Dai Nam Racetrack (TP HCM). This round will involve evaluations by experts and coaches from Japan, collaborating with experienced members of Honda Racing Vietnam. Candidates will be assessed on their vehicle control abilities, speed perception, reflexes, physical fitness foundation, racing discipline, as well as spirit and attitude.

The organizers stated that the entire selection process is designed according to safety and professional standards. Selection results will be compiled from evaluations throughout the assessment process.

After the selection round, candidates will be categorized into two training orientations. Those with outstanding potential will be chosen for an intensive training pathway, with opportunities to train at racing academies in Thailand and Japan, accessing international curricula under the guidance of global Honda experts.

The remaining candidates will continue to participate in the foundational training program, with regular coaching sessions alongside the Honda Racing Vietnam coaching team. This process focuses on developing skills, physical fitness, and racing mindset, while also creating a foundation for subsequent selection periods.

According to the unit, maintaining two parallel training pathways expands opportunities for many children, while ensuring a suitable development roadmap for each stage.

Honda Racing Vietnam is an official racing team within Honda's global motorsports system. The team currently participates in and organizes many motorsports racing activities, from youth training and technical coaching to sending athletes to compete in domestic and regional championships.
