The VnExpress Marathon Hue, organized by the online newspaper VnExpress and FPT Online Services JSC, marks its sixth season in 2026. This year, the event has temporarily paused the 42km distance, instead focusing on enhancing the experience for runners across the 21km, 10km, and 5km courses.

The 21km distance commences at 4 AM, followed by the 10km race at 5 AM and the 5km race at 6 AM. All participants will start from Le Duan street, positioned in front of Phu Van Lau. The meticulously designed route acts as a "tourist tour", guiding runners through more than 10 of Hue's famous imperial landmarks, including Dai Noi, the Huong River, and Truong Tien Bridge.

Integrated into Hue's Summer Festival event series, the VnExpress Marathon is recognized by leaders of the Hue City People's Committee as a key cultural and sports event. It plays a significant role in promoting the local image, culture, people, cuisine, and tourism to a diverse audience of both domestic and international visitors.
