The match on Centre Court lasted only one hour and 39 minutes. Alcaraz capitalized on six break points and never lost his serve. He becomes the second active player to reach at least three Wimbledon semifinals, after Novak Djokovic.
"Reaching the Wimbledon semifinals again is truly special," Alcaraz said after the match. "I'm happy with my tennis, especially against a tough opponent like Norrie."

In his second Wimbledon quarterfinal appearance, Norrie struggled against Alcaraz's aggressive style. Alcaraz frequently approached the net effectively, winning 14 of 16 points at the net. Alcaraz's winner count (39) was also three times that of his British opponent (13).
Alcaraz continued his impressive serving performance. After hitting 22 aces in the fourth round against Rublev, the second seed added 12 more aces in the quarterfinals, winning 89% of his first-serve points (50/56). He extends his winning streak to 23 consecutive matches on the ATP Tour and aims to become the second player after Bjorn Borg to win both the Roland Garros and Wimbledon titles in consecutive years.
In the semifinals, Alcaraz will face fifth seed Taylor Fritz, who defeated Karen Khachanov 6-3, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(4) in their quarterfinal match. Also on 8/7, the two women's singles semifinal spots were determined: Aryna Sabalenka came from behind to defeat Laura Siegemund 4-6, 6-2, 6-4, and Amanda Anisimova beat Anatasia Pavlyuchenkova 6-1, 7-6(9).
The remaining quarterfinal matches – Djokovic versus Flavio Cobolli, Jannik Sinner versus Ben Shelton (men's singles), Mirra Andreeva versus Belinda Bencic, and Iga Swiatek versus Liudmila Samsonova (women's singles) – will take place today, 9/7.
