"I see them playing better because of the clear connection – not just on the pitch, but off it as well," Amorim said after the win in the US on 30/7. "They are stronger, faster, and the intensity is completely different compared to last season. The physical data and distance covered clearly show the change. It’s the same group of players, but the gameplay can be completely different when they understand each other better."
The Portuguese manager also cautioned, "We are improving. But we must remember this is only a friendly. The real pressure will come when the season starts."

At Soldier Field in Chicago, despite playing in heavy rain, Man Utd completely outclassed Bournemouth. The "Red Devils" dominated most statistics, securing a 4-1 victory thanks to goals from Rasmus Hojlund, Patrick Dorgu, Amad Diallo, and young talent Ethan Williams.
The 2025 Premier League Summer Series features four clubs: Man Utd, Bournemouth, West Ham, and Everton. Man Utd won their first two matches against West Ham and Bournemouth, leading the table with 6 points. In the final round, they will face Everton at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, at 4 a.m. Monday, 4/8 Hanoi time.
"We played well, with intensity, strength, and determination – that's what I want to see because we lacked this last season," Amorim added. "They are listening, improving, and that's the most important thing right now."
The only negative for Man Utd was center-back Harry Maguire leaving the pitch after the first half due to a muscle issue. "He had a small problem during the break and has just returned to training. We are carefully managing everyone's fitness to avoid overload," Amorim explained.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola admitted his team was outmatched by Man Utd, describing Amorim's side as a formidable force. "Currently, we are far behind Man Utd. They are an extremely strong team and have recruited very well," he stated.

Man Utd are looking to strengthen their striker options, despite already signing two attacking players, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. According to ESPN, the Old Trafford club has narrowed down their target list to two names: Sesko and Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins.
After the win against Bournemouth, when asked about the rumors, Hojlund said he is ready to compete for a starting position. "No one at the club has said anything to me," the Danish striker commented. "For me, the important thing is to continue training hard and stay focused. My plan is very clear: stay and fight for a place, no matter what. Competition is good. It keeps me sharp. I'm ready for anything. It also makes the whole team stronger."
