"Every year we have to assess the development situation, but I see the right balance of maturity, experience, youth, desire, and all those elements at Arsenal," Arteta said about the Premier League title race during a press conference in Singapore on 22/7.

According to the Spanish manager, there are six to 9 clubs with the right elements to compete for the Premier League title. But instead of focusing on rivals, Arteta wants Arsenal to strive for improvement to quench their title thirst at the end of next season.
"The Premier League is becoming more competitive every year. The level is increasing, with 6, 7, or even 8 other teams along with Arsenal capable of competing, but there's only one champion," he said. "We know that, so our demands must also increase. I believe the team has what it takes to win the championship."
After three consecutive seasons as Premier League runners-up, Arsenal has spent heavily in the transfer market. The Gunners have spent 138 million USD to sign Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, and Kepa Arrizabalaga. They are also preparing to welcome defender Cristhian Mosquera from Valencia and star striker Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting.

Arteta believes the new signings have brought new motivation to the preseason. "Bringing in new faces is like injecting energy into the team," the 43-year-old manager said. "They create excitement, new energy. We have signed very important players. Everyone feels they have to work harder, and that's what we're looking for."
Arteta also revealed that the club could strengthen its squad in the coming weeks. "There's still plenty of time in the transfer window, and we're still looking," he said. "The team is currently lacking in numbers and must improve both depth and quality."
Arsenal arrived in Singapore last week to begin their Asian tour. Arteta's team will face AC Milan today, 23/7, and Newcastle on 27/7 in Southeast Asia, before traveling to Hong Kong for a friendly match against Tottenham on 31/7.
In 2015, Arteta also toured Singapore for the preseason as Arsenal's captain. "It's a great story," he smiled. "About 10 years ago, I never thought I'd be sitting in this position. I have fond memories of that time here 10 years ago. Hopefully, we can recreate that."
