Just a week ago, Chelsea announced the signing of forward Joao Pedro from Brighton while he was on holiday in Brazil. The 23-year-old quickly packed his bags for the US, coming off the bench in the quarterfinal against Palmeiras. In the semifinal, Pedro started and scored both goals to send Chelsea to the final.
