The press conference took place at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, which serves as the main venue for Group B matches.

The FIFA ASEAN Cup, an expanded Southeast Asian tournament, is being organized by FIFA for the first time this year. This inaugural event operates under the new extended FIFA Days framework, which came into effect in 2026. Under this new structure, national team training camps typically held in September and October are now combined into a single three-week period, from 21/9 to 6/10.

In the First Division, Group A is scheduled to kick off tomorrow, 25/9, featuring host Indonesia, Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Singapore. Group B will begin on 26/9, with participating teams including Vietnam, Pakistan, Thailand, and the Philippines.

The tournament format involves a one-round robin where teams accumulate points. The top team from each group will advance to the final, while the two second-place teams will compete in a match for third place.

Vietnam's schedule includes matches against the Philippines on 26/9 and Thailand on 29/9, both to be held at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 27,000. For their final group stage match on 2/10, the team will face Pakistan at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, which can accommodate 77,193 spectators.
