This marks Djokovic's 100th victory at Wimbledon, just weeks after achieving the same milestone at Roland Garros. The Serbian player considered this his best performance of the first week in London, having dropped only one set en route to the fourth round.
Kecmanovic, ranked in the top 50, had a subpar performance. He appeared sluggish, moved slowly, and overused slice shots – a tactic Djokovic had effectively neutralized against Dan Evans in the previous round. Djokovic hit 60 winners in the three-set match, highlighting Kecmanovic's defensive struggles.
16 of Djokovic's 60 winners were aces, a crucial weapon for him in the latter stages of his career. While his younger compatriot seemed to sleepwalk through the match, Djokovic played with precision and flair. He committed only 19 unforced errors, saved the only break point he faced, and boasted a 77% success rate at the net.

Djokovic's fourth consecutive victory over Kecmanovic came after just one hour and 47 minutes. The 38-year-old has won all eight of his Grand Slam matches against fellow Serbians. He is now five wins away from Roger Federer's Wimbledon record. Federer also holds the record for most Wimbledon fourth-round appearances with 18, one more than Djokovic.
With 24 wins in 32 matches this season, Djokovic is aiming for his 25th major title and to equal Federer's record of eight Wimbledon championships. His next opponent is 11th seed Alex de Minaur. Like Djokovic, De Minaur has dropped only one set so far and is expected to present a tough challenge in their Monday match.
A win would set up a potentially easier quarterfinal for Djokovic against either Marin Cilic or Flavio Cobolli. Fourth seed Jack Draper and 15th seed Jakub Mensik have already been eliminated from this section of the draw.
Meanwhile, Djokovic's potential semifinal opponent, Jannik Sinner, continues his dominant run. The world number one swiftly defeated Pablo Martinez 6-1, 6-3, 6-1, maintaining his streak of winning every set. Sinner has dropped only five games in his last two matches and no more than seven in any match during the tournament. His fourth-round opponent, veteran Grigor Dimitrov, presents a manageable challenge.
