During his address, Le Quang Tu Do compared GameVerse to a "universe" where its components are gradually coming together. He noted that after four years, the event's ecosystem is evolving, now including the State, game publishers, game developers, educational institutions, and crucially, "esports stakeholders". This inclusion, he stated, makes the industry's development goals more focused and achievable.
"With this addition, GameVerse's 'stakeholders' are becoming more comprehensive, laying the groundwork for expanding connections and entering the international market, aligning with this year's theme: 'Do local - Go global' – together venturing into the wider world," Tu Do stated.
From a professional standpoint, Do Viet Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Recreational and Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA), emphasized this as a necessary step. He highlighted esports' success at various SEA Games, where the discipline not only contributed to national medal tallies but also shifted societal perceptions.

"Esports thrives in close connection with its fan community. A major platform like GameVerse provides an opportunity to discover new talent and standardize our athletes, empowering them to compete confidently on continental and global stages," Hung remarked.
The press conference also saw attendance from media outlets, game publishers, development studios, content creators, and esports teams. TK Nguyen, CEO of GAM Esports, expressed his appreciation for this year's 'Do local - Go global' message, emphasizing that such a mindset is crucial for early adoption to succeed in international competition.

"To venture into the wider world, we must elevate standards within our ecosystem. GameVerse 2026 provides a strong impetus for teams, players, and the community to collectively pursue a larger, more professional objective," TK Nguyen stated.
Vietnam GameVerse 2026 will feature a series of activities from February to May 2026, culminating in a festival on 8-9/5 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). Attendees can follow three parallel tournaments: the Southeast Asian Nations Esports Cup, the FC Mobile Invitation Cup 2026, and the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Spring 2026 National Finals.
Beyond the competitions, the organizing committee plans to create dedicated fan meeting areas and enhance the B2B zone with a specialized discussion stage, exhibition space, and networking facilities.
This year's activities are themed 'Do local - Go global' – Together venturing into the wider world, reflecting the Vietnamese game industry's ambition to enhance human resource quality, foster technology transfer, and promote the 'Make in Vietnam' brand.
