TK Nguyen, manager of League of Legends team GAM Esports, stated that the team's journey in LCP 2025 has so far met initial expectations. He emphasized the team's respect for all competitors, especially their fellow Vietnamese teams.
However, facing CFO and other international opponents at home intensifies their desire to win, providing valuable opportunities for growth and learning. Each match fuels their determination to secure victory.

Assessing the competition, Nguyen noted the disciplined training regimens of international rivals like CFO and PSG Talon. He acknowledged TSW as the only team to have defeated CFO and highlighted MVKE as a strong contender with a seasoned coaching staff. "These challenges only strengthen our resolve to win the championship," he affirmed.
If given the choice, GAM would prefer to face CFO in the final. While acknowledging CFO's strong position, Nguyen expressed GAM's ambition to achieve their dream of winning against them on home soil.
"We always aim high and strive for greatness, even when facing seemingly insurmountable odds, because GAM is known for its 'giant-slaying' moments. Our approach remains consistent: meticulous preparation, rapid adaptation, and unwavering perseverance," Nguyen emphasized.

In preparation for the tournament, the team has invested in technical skills, physical conditioning, and mental fortitude. Players maintain a rigorous daily training schedule, analyzing VODs, keeping up with the meta, and prioritizing nutrition and recovery. GAM also revealed a strategic partnership with a top South Korean team for coaching support.
On the organizational front, GAM upgraded their Gaming House in New Taipei City (Taiwan), just 2 km from the LCP arena. The training facility boasts world-class infrastructure, nutrition, and recovery resources. Thanks to partnerships with FPT Telecom, Vietjet, Monster Energy, and Logitech, the players have access to optimal training conditions to achieve peak performance.
According to GAM, LCP is becoming one of the world's most competitive tournaments, rivaling major leagues like LCK and LPL. They describe it as a competition where "every match is as intense as a playoff game."
The team's objective extends beyond mere participation; they aim to dominate, demonstrating Vietnam's ability to compete among the global elite. "Our mission is to prove that Vietnam can lead the world in esports rankings. This journey begins in Da Nang, with the ultimate goal of reaching the World Championship in China," Nguyen stated.

Beyond training and facilities, the fervent support of home fans is crucial for the players. Nguyen recalled the 2,000 fans chanting GAM's name in Ho Chi Minh City last year. He hopes to witness a similar spectacle, on a much larger scale, at the Tien Son Sports Palace (Da Nang) this year. Their pursuit at LCP transcends personal accolades; it represents national pride and Vietnam's position on the global esports map.
Following LCP 2025, GAM's short-term goals include reaching the top 8 at the World Championship, expanding into new game titles, and developing the "GAM Changers" podcast. This platform will share the stories of players, entrepreneurs, and leaders in the region. In the long term, the team envisions building a community-focused movement, inspiring the younger generation through esports.
Vietnam last hosted a major esports event in 2019 with MSI. GAM's Levi is one of the few players to experience the roar of the home crowd twice. He shared how seeing his family in the audience and knowing the entire country was behind him provided immense motivation.
"This LCP final is not just GAM's competition; it represents national pride. Carrying the Vietnamese flag and showing the world who we are has always been the dream of young Vietnamese people—those who believe they deserve to shine on the global stage," Levi expressed.
