Man City has spent over 200 million USD this summer, acquiring Rayan Ait-Nouri, Marcus Bettinelli, Rayan Cherki, Tijjani Reijnders, and James Trafford.
Departures include Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker, and Maximo Perrone, while Vitor Reis and Jack Grealish have gone out on loan to Girona and Everton, respectively.

Guardiola believes the squad is still too large and needs further streamlining before the September 1 deadline. "We have too many players. Tomorrow, two will be left out of the squad," he stated before the Premier League opener against Wolves. "When the injured players return, 4 or 5 will have to stay home. It's not ideal."
The Spanish manager hasn't specified a target number, but anticipates increased transfer activity in the final weeks, particularly with the Saudi Arabian transfer window closing later than Europe's major leagues. "Every manager wants a manageable squad size, because players deserve to play. It's unfair to keep them at home," Guardiola explained.
Ederson's future is under scrutiny, with the 31-year-old goalkeeper attracting interest from Galatasaray. Man City are reportedly interested in PSG's Gianluigi Donnarumma, but only if Ederson leaves.
"Ederson hasn't told me he wants to leave or that he has any offers. All the players here are Man City players, and I want them to stay," Guardiola emphasized.
Tottenham are reportedly interested in 21-year-old Savinho, but Guardiola hopes the Brazilian winger will stay. "The player's wishes are paramount, but if an agreement can't be reached with another club, they'll stay because the club has invested in them," he said.

Due to their participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, Man City had a delayed pre-season, with only three weeks to prepare. They played just one friendly match, a 3-0 win against Palermo, with goals from Erling Haaland and a brace from new signing Tijjani Reijnders.
However, Guardiola is confident that Man City is ready. He stated: "The preparation period was short, but very productive. We are ready to enjoy the good moments and will get back up as quickly as possible after the difficult ones."
After 4 consecutive Premier League titles, Man City's 2024-2025 season was hampered by injuries. Despite this, they rallied late to finish third and secure Champions League qualification.
Guardiola believes the team will improve this season. "I can't guarantee it, but the signs suggest we'll be stronger. We could also be worse, you never know, but I think we'll be better," the 54-year-old manager expressed.
