Ho Chi Minh City Police FC has been re-established after being transferred from Ho Chi Minh City FC. For this revival, they have appointed former national player Le Huynh Duc as head coach, along with assistant coaches Phung Thanh Phuong, Hoang Hung, and Chau Tri Cuong.
"We are delighted to return to the team where we were trained and made our names," Duc shared at the launch ceremony on 8/8. "We will work together to build an attractive and effective playing style with an enthusiastic spirit, representing the police force. We haven't set any heavy achievement goals, but we will strive to recapture the image of the police football team of the past."

The plan is to retain talented players from previous Ho Chi Minh City FC seasons, including Partrick Le Giang, Endrick, Tran Hoang Phuc, Nguyen Thai Quoc Cuong, and Vo Huy Toan. International players include central defender Matheus Felipe (Brazil) and midfielder Samuel Bastien (Belgium and Congo).
Newly arrived striker Nguyen Tien Linh has been entrusted with the captain's armband. The 2024 Vietnamese Golden Ball winner said he will strive for the team to achieve the best possible results. "It's a great honor to wear this jersey. We will work hard to get the best results and recreate the glories the team once achieved," he stated.
At 7:15 PM on 16/8, Ho Chi Minh City Police FC will play their opening match against Ha Noi FC at Thong Nhat Stadium in the first round of the 2025-2026 V-League.
