Huawei hosts tech-infused running event in Ho Chi Minh City

The Active Ring, a 5km run combined with various activities promoting a healthy lifestyle, was organized by Huawei on 3/8 and attracted numerous athletes.

The "Active Ring - Light Up Your Activity Ring" run, held in the Thu Thiem New Urban Area, is part of Huawei's global campaign to encourage healthy living. Inspired by the "Activity Ring" feature, the run encouraged participants to embrace a healthy lifestyle with a 5km course and various group exercise activities.

The "Activity Ring" feature, available on Huawei wearable devices, consists of three rings: Red, Gold, and Blue, each corresponding to different metrics. The Blue ring lights up when users stand up and walk for at least 1 minute. The Gold ring tracks total exercise duration, while the Red ring measures active calories burned. The 5km run aimed to help users achieve a healthy lifestyle by lighting up all three rings through physical activity. In addition to running, the event also incorporated various movement-based games and minigames.

A Huawei representative stated that this series of activities promotes an active and healthy lifestyle. Before arriving in Vietnam, the company organized similar events in Berlin, Bangkok, Manila, and other cities, attracting tens of thousands of runners.

"The athletes, both professional and amateur, lit up their activity rings together on the running track and enjoyed engaging activities after crossing the finish line," the representative said.

According to the representative, in today's fast-paced life, smart wearables, especially smartwatches, can help track health metrics and support individuals in building a comprehensive wellness journey. These devices can personalize training goals, provide movement reminders, and even analyze results to offer advice tailored to individual fitness levels and objectives.

Huawei, the technology giant from China, has long been a favorite choice for millions of consumers worldwide. Huawei's 10-year journey in developing smart wearables, from 2015 to the present, has been marked by numerous advancements, from developing more accurate health-tracking sensors to enhanced data synchronization and increasingly user-friendly experiences.

Through investment in R&D, the brand continually improves its ecosystem, empowering users to take charge of their health. Smartwatch lines like the Watch Fit 4 Series, with its slim and lightweight design yet packed with over 100 workout modes, and the Watch D2, capable of dynamic blood pressure measurement, have been well-received by the tech and health-conscious community. Most recently, the Watch 5, featuring X-Tap multi-sensor technology, can measure 11 health indicators with a single fingertip touch.

All user data is integrated into the Huawei Health app, a platform that synchronizes and manages activity, sleep, heart rate, stress levels, and other data. The app also provides personalized analyses and suggestions, helping users proactively manage their health scientifically and over the long term.
