Yamal turned 18 on 12/7. He started his celebrations with family and friends at La Cupula restaurant in El Garraf, Catalonia, Spain.

The Barca star then moved to a private venue with more guests and live music.

Yamal shared photos on Instagram with his grandmother, parents, and some friends. He reportedly asked guests not to post photos of the party online.

Barca will resume training on 13/7. Players who were on international duty in early June may have extended time off. Yamal's last match was the Nations League final on 8/6, where Spain lost to Portugal.

Yamal has been resting and recharging after a long season. He has visited various vacation spots in Spain and Italy, and also traveled to Brazil to see former Barca teammate Neymar.

Yamal's new contract, worth approximately 45 million USD per year after taxes including signing bonus, takes effect now that he is 18. The contract runs until 6/2031.

Barca is expected to announce that Yamal will wear the number 10 shirt, recently vacated by Ansu Fati, who has joined Monaco on loan.

Yamal made his Barca debut at the end of the 2022-2023 season at just 15 years old. In two years, he has won the European Championship with Spain, two La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey, and a Spanish Super Cup with Barca. Last season, he scored 18 goals and had 25 assists in 55 club appearances.
