Most lopsided Grand Slam finals in history

Iga Swiatek's 6-0, 6-0 victory over Amanda Anisimova at Wimbledon 2025 on 12/7 is the most lopsided final in Grand Slam history.

While Anisimova struggled with nerves in her first Grand Slam final, Swiatek displayed composure, winning decisively in 57 minutes on Centre Court on 12/7. Anisimova only managed 24 points, 30% of the total, and failed to win a single game. The 6-0, 6-0 defeat left Anisimova devastated, especially after her semifinal victory over top seed Aryna Sabalenka two days prior.

Swiatek's win wasn't the shortest Grand Slam final. That record belongs to Steffi Graf's 6-0, 6-0 victory over Natasha Zvereva at the 1988 French Open, lasting only 32 minutes. Zvereva won only 13 points and never reached another Grand Slam final. Graf apologized to the crowd for the brevity of the match.

Another quick women's singles final was Martina Navratilova's 6-0, 6-3 win over 18-year-old Andrea Jaeger at Wimbledon in 1983. Jaeger, having reached the final without dropping a set, faced defending champion Navratilova. Jaeger had also lost to Navratilova in the 1982 French Open final.

Serena Williams also conceded only three games in the 2007 Australian Open final, defeating Maria Sharapova 6-1, 6-2. Williams, ranked 81st after missing most of the previous season due to a knee injury, triumphed over her rival. Serena won 20 of their 22 career meetings, making this a highly publicized rivalry.

Wimbledon witnessed another one-sided final with a "bagel" set in 2014. Petra Kvitova's powerful left-handed game overwhelmed Eugenie Bouchard 6-3, 6-0, with the second set lasting only 23 minutes.

Graf also holds the record for the most lopsided Australian Open final, defeating Arantxa Sanchez Vicario 6-0, 6-2 in 66 minutes. However, Sanchez Vicario defeated Graf in both the French Open and US Open finals that same year.

The most lopsided men's singles Grand Slam final was Jimmy Connors' 6-1, 6-0, 6-1 victory over Ken Rosewall at the 1974 US Open. This 78-minute match is also the shortest men's singles final. Connors went on to win four more US Open titles.

The 2019 Australian Open final also makes the list, with Novak Djokovic dominating Rafael Nadal 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. Djokovic considers this victory a career highlight. He committed only nine unforced errors to Nadal's 28, giving his rival no chance to recover.

Nadal showcased peak form at the 2008 French Open, winning the title without dropping a set. He defeated Roger Federer 6-1, 6-3, 6-0 for his fourth consecutive French Open title. This was the most lopsided Grand Slam final since 1984 and Federer's worst Grand Slam defeat.
